What will you be doing?
Job Description:
- Performing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations using Python pandas and NumPy and ensuring efficiency and consistency in data handling
- Performing sophisticated mathematical and statistical analysis (skewness, kurtosis, and other statistical indicators) to extract actionable insights
- Utilizing data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) and statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, outlier detection) to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in datasets
- Utilize data APIs, libraries to extract data from diverse sources like financial databases, market data feeds, alternative data providers
- Transforming data into a structured format and loading it into our systems for further analysis
- Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop risk reports
- Implement a standardized data model for integrated financial information
What do you have?
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of Python development experience with the most recent core experience in ETL using Python
- A degree in computer science engineering, data science, statistics or math (B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD, B.Sc in Computer Science / Math / Statistics)
- Excellent experience in python programming language
- Strong quantitative aptitude and clear understanding of mathematical concepts
- Familiarity with code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
- High emotional ownership – self-starter with high energy, motivation, commitment to excellence and positive approach to business challenges
- Ability to understand diverse requirements from stakeholders and deliver on the key priorities
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Experience with cloud platforms is a plus
